Each bedroom has a large bed and some rooms have additional twin beds, trundle beds or bunk beds. All rooms have private bathrooms and one room shares a hall shower with a second room. Expect comfy sheets, well appointed furniture and beautiful views out the windows. There are plenty of common spaces in each of the buildings to relax.
Check in and check out times are set. Please plan to arrive at or after 3pm on Friday October 11. Please plan to depart the property by 11am on Monday October 14.
Bring comfortable clothing for yoga and meditation. For our dunes walk have comfortable shoes that can get sandy and layered clothing depending on the weather. For any activities out on the town, bring whatever clothing you are comfortable wearing! Nothing fancy needed - unless that's your jam.
The retreat location is an approximately 1.5 hours drive from Chicago. Driving directions and precise address will be provided to each registrant.
Well behaved and quiet dogs can come with to this property. There is an additional $100 fee for each dog. Before bringing your dog, please consider how they will behave in a large group setting and with the possibility of other animals.
The pool access depends on weather. If it is really warm and the pool is still open, then yes! You will be alerted if this is the case. If it is colder weather, there is a fee to heat the pool if the group wants it. The hot tubs are available all the time! Bring your suit for the hot tubs if you enjoy a warm dunk to unwind from your yoga.
The Warren Dunes state park is about 15 minutes drive from the retreat location. We will carpool together for the dunes hike. If you would like something easier, there is a wonderful walk just across the street. Everyone will get a sack lunch that day and you can decide what activity you most want to include in your Saturday. Remember there are shops, art galleries, antique dealers and more just a short car ride from the retreat location.
When you register you will submit your dietary preferences and the caterers will provide options for special diets. Restaurants where we will eat out as a group were chosen specifically to accommodate many types of dietary restrictions.
A retreat is the perfect time to take a break from the connections of regular life and to soak in the relaxation of the yoga, meditation and environment. If you must connect, there is WiFi available in all the accommodations.
